Rebecca had her first quarantine trial on Dec 4th and her ruling on Dec 14th. The JP had to do some homework on the argument Rebecca presented.

Spoiler alert... the ruling is to pay a fine of $1,500 as the judge ruled the Bill is superseded by the Charter... BUT is this true? Is the Charter the SUPREME law in Canada???

Section 26 of the Charter states otherwise;
26. The guarantee in this Charter of certain rights and freedoms shall not be construed as denying the existence of any other rights or freedoms that exist in Canada.

Also, why does the Canada Act 1982 still only list royal assent from the UK? Where is the "Great Seal of Canada" that was mentioned in the 1982 proclamation? Why is this not found anywhere?
