HOME BIRTH VLOG - Unmedicated, Positive, First Time Mom Birth Story

We are so grateful to have had the birth we dreamed of having. Allie delivered our first baby, a girl, on Nov 6th. She did AMAZING, the entire time she was composed, strong, and focused.

Allie suffered a tear on her perineum that required stitches. The main concern was her blood loss after the home water birth. Her blood pressure got super low, and nearly needed to be taken to the hospital. Thankfully, our AMAZING team of midwives knew exactly what to do and were able to stop the bleeding just in time.

Our daughter, Maeya (pronounced May-Uh) Ann was born 7lb 3oz & 18.5" long. We love her so much and Allie is recovering well.

This was a very personal and emotional experience, and we are happy to be able to share our positive home birth with you all. If you're pregnant and watching this, we hope our experience gives you the confidence to have the birth you want!
