University of Lethbridge support workers ratify agreement

Support workers at the University of Lethbridge have agreed to a new contract that will bring wage increases of 1.25 per cent on April 1st and 1.5 per cent on December 1st of next year. Officials say there will also be another half a per cent increase in December of 2023 if certain economic measures in the province are met.Darren Graham, vice-president of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees says this was a tough round of negotiations.
The new contract will expire on June 30th of 2024.
