A F-16 is a highly turned piece of machinery that is frequently placed under airframe stress due to high-speed turns. The systems that fuel and lubricate the jet are incredibly complex and designed to work at all possible angles and even in the absence of gravity.

When a plane lands, every single rivet and screw is inspected to make sure that the airframe is in condition to fly. This makes it a lot more complex than your average car.
