Vandals, rioters and peaceful protesters have taken to the streets all over the country and deaths continue. Dina Boluarte took over Peru after President Castillo attempted to dissolve their Congress in a self coup (auto-golpe). Thousands of Peruvians have been marching and both the police and military have been sent to quell the violence. Elections were declared by Boluarte to occur in 2024, however the protesters are supported by Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico and Colombia. Those countries have been reported to offer asylum to Pedro Castillo.
