You're Sweet

Eight-year-old Stacy Birch was an unusually sweet child.

Her parents, Michael and Beverly, and teacher, Mrs. Butler, thought her demeanor and actions to be excessively nice.

After an outburst about an intermural game she and her class would be participating in, both Stacy’s parents and Mrs. Butler decided her kindness and good heart were a weakness they could no longer ignore.

Mrs. Butler gave Michael and Beverly a referral to a psychiatrist who had helped a number of her troubled students, Dr. Duke.

Immediately, the haphazard doctor diagnosed Stacy with a mental condition, HSP. “…a Highly Sensitive Person,” he had explained sympathetically. “Like the name implies, she is overly sensitive to stimuli, both externally and internally.”

He assured Michael and Beverly with regular, long-term treatment, she stood a chance to recover from the dissociative disorder.

Follow Stacy as the events and emotions of her young life unfold. Get inside the heart of a child as she sees the good in everyone and everything and her struggles as she learns that not everything nor everyone are good.

Fully believing that love conquers all…can she possibly love enough to cover all the bad in the world or will her innocence and sweetness get the best of her.

Grab your seat and get ready for a ride as you brace for a rollercoaster of emotions. This book will take you back to the tender days of your own childhood, its conquests, and its challenges.

Remember when life was so simple and your heart was so big? Stacy honestly believes that she can change the world with her child-like love and sweetness. Will she conquer all or will it the world cruelly take her kindness for weakness? Read on and…hold on to your heart!
