A Vietnam veteran being interviewed in 1989 explains what it was like to fight in the Vietnam war. he discusses what the environment was like, living with a hundred other men. While having an enemy in close proximity who was doing everything possible to try and kill you. The mental anguish of seeing your friends dying and being maimed and having no clue whether some lived or died.

He talks about the pressures involved and how years later still not knowing the names and status of those he fought alongside. then returning to his home country and taking up a job in the police force. Only to find himself back in a scenario where he once again felt as though he was fighting in Vietnam.
