Lower Taxes Key to Prosperity: Kansas State Rep. Patrick Penn

Kansas Representative Patrick Penn attended the ALEC States and Nation Policy Summit (SNPS) to learn from other lawmakers and policy experts about what he can do to reform his state's tax policies to bring greater economic prosperity to his constituents. "We know that when states reduce taxes, it improves economic competitiveness and lifts people out of poverty," Penn told ALEC TV. "The people of Kansas deserve to keep more of their money." While at SNPS, Penn also participated in a new ALEC program to connect state lawmakers with their elected representatives in Washington. "They need to hear from the voters back home to ensure they don't lose touch with what is happening in Kansas," he added.
