Bucket drumming(street drumming) is drumming
on plastic buckets, glass bottles, pots, and
pans or other objects to create melodies.
The most common object used by bucket drummers are
five-gallon plastic buckets.
The exact origins and history of bucket drumming is unclear,
But you would occasionally find drummers performing
along city streets and in subway tunnels in
New York City in the 1980’s.
Larry Wright from Bronx is widely considered the
first “major drummer” to use plastic buckets
instead of a standard drum set.
