Peru Presidential Crisis | Short Documentary | Violent Riots, Chaos National Emergency

Foreign Meddling? December 7, 2022 Peruvian President Pedro Castillo was reported to be under threat of impeachment so he declared a "Self-Coup" and national emergency. He immediately was arrested, then Vice President Dina Boluarte was installed and stated new elections in 2024.

The country exploded in huge violent riots and protest. It's a chaotic situation with businesses destroyed, roads blocked and the country stands to lose millions in exports and in tourism to Machu Picchu as Cusco airport and railroad was occupied by protesters and some foreign visitors are stranded.

Presidents of Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico support the protesters and immediate new elections. Note interesting photo of Klaus Schwab of the WEF, posted on Twitter with the interim President.

One has to question the entire situation and outside influences if any in a democratically elected President Castillo. Boluarte is the 6th President in the last 5 years.
