HOT TAKE - BITCOIN VS CRYPTO - WHY GOOD ADVICE IS KEY

On this episode, Joran addresses some market reactions to bitcoin due to the FTX fraud that took place. It's important to understand the difference between bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Most people see bitcoin, FTX, and the rest of the cryptocurrency market through the same lens. When in fact, bitcoin and crypto are completely different. Joran explains the main differences including:

Decentralized vs Centralized - the bitcoin network is fully decentralized around the world - there is no CEO of bitcoin. The majority of cryptocurrency projects and exchanges are fully centralized being run like a company.

Fixed supply - there is a fixed supply of 21 million bitcoin that will ever be created. The majority of cryptocurrency projects do not have a fixed supply or a fixed schedule for future creation.

Energy - bitcoin requires energy to create. Even Satoshi Nakamoto could not issue himself any bitcoin. The bitcoin network uses Proof-of-Work - which requires work (energy) to mine new bitcoin. The majority of other cryptocurrency projects use Proof-of-Stake which does not require energy to create new coins.

Joran also discusses the importance of getting good advice, holding your own private keys, how much you should be allocating to bitcoin, and how to book a consultation at Silverstone Solutions.

This channel will focus on everything you need to upgrade to the modern economy. We will discuss bitcoin, silver, gold, real estate, sports cards, private equity, and much more.

Aside from the financial and investing portion, we will be sharing our experiences and knowledge in cooking, golf, fitness, and building your own business.

Once you get past zero, you might want to start allocating a little more of your portfolio to bitcoin or other cryptocurrency projects.
