2ND Annual Fall Overlanding Trip S2E7, Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners
In this episode, our third and final night in Moab we cross a very flooded Kane creek on our way to camp off of Chicken Corners. To get to Chicken Corners you need to do Hurrah Pass first, with its amazing views once you get to the pass, with dramatic river valley views with Canyonlands off in the distance. As we start down the back side of the pass the trail narrows and gets a little rougher, any high clearance 4x4 and most high clearance all wheel drives should be fine on this trail. We meet up with the Vegas crew at camp. they ended up only being about 30 minutes behind us on the trail.
As we all set up camp the thunderstorm off in the distance gave us a beautiful sunset. We made homemade pizzas for everyone for dinner. After everyone was full, we gathered around the firepit and discussed the adventures to come in the next week. little did we know how the rain would affect Lockheart basin, in the following days! Stay tuned we will talk about that in the next episode!
