Patty Hajdu, the federal minister of Indigenous services, speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill following her introduction of Bill C-38 in the House of Commons. The bill seeks to address some of the remaining inequities in the registration and band membership provisions of the Indian Act, in four areas including enfranchisement and natal band reaffiliation.
