Patriot systems in Ukraine will be legitimate target for Russia, Kremlin on possible US supplies

1. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the Kremlin's position regarding the possible supply of US Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv.

He noted that the Kremlin shares the position of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, where they had previously stated that in the case of deliveries of Patriot, they would become the target of Russia.

At the same time, Peskov noted that no official comments had been received from the United States, and it was incorrect to comment on the purely assumptions of various media.

*"But I would not comment yet, because these are all media reports. In our time, media reports are an unreliable thing, we will wait for some official information," he said.*

A day earlier that the United States could announce the supply of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine by the end of the week, CNN reported.

Пресс-секретарь президента России Дмитрий Песков прокомментировал позицию Кремля относительно возможных поставок США ЗРК Patriot Киеву.

*Он отметил, что в Кремле разделяют позицию Совбеза РФ, где ранее заявили, что в случае поставок Patriot они станут целью России.*

При этом Песков отметил, что никаких официальных комментариев от США не поступало, а комментировать чисто предположения различных СМИ – некорректно.

"Но я не стал бы пока комментировать, потому что это все сообщения СМИ. В наше время сообщения СМИ – вещь ненадежная, дождемся какой-то официальной информации", - отметил он.

Напомним, днем ранее о том, что США могут заявить о поставках ЗРК Patriot Украине до конца недели, сообщал телеканал CNN.
