Golden Axe Two-Player Playthrough (Wii Virtual Console)

This is a capture of me and a friend playing through Golden Axe for the Sega Genesis. This was played on the Wii Virtual Console and recorded directly from my Wii (not the Wii U). I'm player one (Ax Battler) and Drew is player two (Gilius Thunderhead).

Drew and I have been enjoying some Virtual Console games over the past year or so, and we've trying to beat Golden Axe for a quite while. We finally beat the game yesterday, so I decided to upload the footage.

I didn't have a Sega Genesis as a kid (I had the NES and SNES), but some other people in my neighborhood did, and I would sometimes get to play games on their systems. I remember playing Sonic 2 and Altered Beast specifically, but I don't recall if I got to play Golden Axe.

However, my local bowling alley had a Golden Axe arcade machine in the early '90s, so I at least got to play the arcade version as a kid. I've always been a huge fan of side-scrolling fighters, so I enjoyed Golden Axe. The Genesis version is a good port overall.
