Following the Kabul hotel bombing, China requests that its citizens depart Afghanistan as soon as possible.
On December 13, the Chinese government urged its citizens to leave Afghanistan "as quickly as possible." This follows a terrible assault on a hotel in Kabul. On December 12, armed men opened fire inside a hotel in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, which is commonly frequented by Chinese and other foreigners. Locals claimed that the attack took place in a hotel that frequently hosts Chinese and other foreign guests. Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry, reported that an attack on a hotel in Kabul left five Chinese nationals injured. China also urged that the incident be investigated and that "the attackers" face harsh punishment.
