Argentina fans in Buenos Aires go WILD after making World Cup Final

Thousands of fans dressed in the sky blue colours of the Argentine flag cheered the 3-0 victory of the national football over Croatia, securing their spot in the final at the FIFA World Cup.

The crowd filled the street at the Obelisk monument.

"On Sunday we will win again. This is (Lionel) Messi’s year," said supporter Katherine Velazquez.

Hopes are high for the Argentines, who have long hailed their world star Lionel Messi to lead the team into the finals, and bringing a third title since the 1978 and 1986 championships.

Maria Jose Azevedo was pleased with the performance of the men at the match in Qatar.

"They put their souls and their lives in the match," she said.

The other contender for the championship will be decided when France face Morocco.
