Spontaneous Business Videos can be more impactful than Scripted Videos

As we have become more dependent on digital media, and the rise of the importance of videos in our advertising and marketing, we must address the issue of how can we set ourselves apart from everyone else that are also creating videos in our industry.

Using attorneys as an example; we have all seen the videos of an attorney sitting tall, facing a certain angle, with the perfect lighting, and delivering a message that has been scripted. You can go to any other website of an attorney that also has videos and we can see virtually the same thing and hear the same message, over and over again.

I prefer to present a video that is spontaneous. A video that allows you to see the thought process, to see the subjects personality, knowledge of their profession, and to be able to better relate to the and identify with the speaker.

I believe this makes for a more impactful and engaging video that will represent your business far better than a scripted video. With a scripted video, the viewer can clearly see that the thought process has been taken out of the equation.

While scripted videos can still serve a purpose in your marketing and advertising, spontaneous videos will still end up being more relatable, engaging, and give the viewer a clearer picture of who you actually are.

So to answer the question: How can we set ourselves apart from everyone else that are also creating videos in our industry?

My answer is: Let the consumer see who you are, and let them better identify and relate to you.
