A reality TV star who says she had a fling with Prince Harry in 2006 tonight claimed that Meghan Markle has 'cast a spell' over the Duke of Sussex, amid a deepening row over the couple's incendiary Netflix series.

Catherine Ommanney, who claims she enjoyed a two-month fling with the royal when she was 31 and he was 21, said that she 'doesn't recognise' Harry and insisted he would not have been the 'sort of person' to make his bombshell documentary for the US streaming giant.

The Real Housewives of DC starlet told Piers Morgan Uncensored: 'What I saw in him at the time, he was desperately searching for freedom and privacy, but what he's done is turn the whole situation full circle, and now he's got no privacy and no freedom.

'I just don't know whether I would recognise him anymore, personality-wise, because when I watched him on the show, I just thought why?'.
