Here is a follow-up to a story we brought you about a Medicine Hat senior who was applying for Medical Assistance in Dying. Les Landry says when he turned 65, his AISH disability support benefits were cut off and now he says he cannot afford to live. Landry explains where he is at in his MAID application. Landry says he hopes his story will continue to bring awareness of seniors who are fighting poverty and that he is certain he will move ahead with MAID if he is approved.
