Mia Mottley Deliver a Blistering Attack On The Global North

Watch Barbados’ Prime Minister, Mia Mottley, deliver a blistering attack on the Global North for failing to live up to its responsibility to compensate the Global South for the effects of the climate crisis which it did not cause.

Mottley slammed multinational corporations who are raking in billions of profits while resisting contributing a mere 10 cents on each dollar they make towards a “loss and damage” fund. The fund is being demanded by countries across the Global South as a way for rich countries to compensate for the costs of climate damage that impoverished countries cannot avoid or adapt to.
