Camp Hook - Morningstar Road - Carlisle, Ohio, UFOs, Futuro Homes

My older brother flew in with his kids from Las Vegas and we travelled back to our old childhood home in the woods of Ohio, Camp Hook. It is now part of the Dayton (Twin Creek) Metropark system, but still retains its old name.

Camp Hook is an old decommissioned (even when we were there 30 years ago) Boy Scout camp. It was shut down in 1991 and my family was lucky enough to become resident caretakers there until 1997. It was an amazing place to grow up as a teenager.

My brother and I shared old memories as we come up through Cincinnati, Middletown, Franklin, Carlisle, then the Camp. We stopped back in Lebanon and Kings Mills area on the way back. All places we lived in or were familiar with.

One of their highlight of my evening outside of the Camp was Cartridge Brewing in Kings Mills. We all lived near there as kids and remembered the old “haunted cartridge factory”. Now it is an awesome brewery with Luxury apartments as you’ll see in the video.
