We had thousands of earthquakes in the days after this quake and it was months and months before I stopped thinking a car driving by was an earthquake coming.

This earthquake let seismologists know there was a dormant fault here, connecting the San Andreas and The Garlock faults... maybe Cali actually will fall into the ocean one day.
