Revelation 7:1-4
The Sealed of Israel 

1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 
3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” 
4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed. 

Revelation 3:12
 ...'Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.'

The Lamb and the 144,000

1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. 
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.
3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the ear
4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
 5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.

🔵 They are not defiled with women and are without fault - What does it mean to not be defiled with women? 
** Well, a woman in the Bible represents God's professed people, like the 10 virgin women 'guests'. Also, the 'pure' woman of Revelation 12 is a representation of God's pure church. And the 'harlot' woman of Revelation 17 is a representation of an apostate church.

They are them that have not corrupted themselves or their garments in the filthiness of this fallen age.
 They are them that made the decision to walk holy and righteous before YHWH 

Hebrews 12:22-24 
...'But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.'

John doesn't see the 144,000 standing on the mount in Jerusalem, Israe
He sees in vision, the 144,000 standing with Jesus in the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM. 

The general body of believers in the churches who are saved are that 'great multitude' of Revelation 7:9-17, not the 144,000.

Revelation 7:9-17
A Multitude from the Great Tribulation

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 
10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 
11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 
12 saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”
So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them
16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat
17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

The First Resurrection gets its name from being the first in order of occurrence. Also known as the Feast of Early Firstfruits (‘yom ha Bikkurim).

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
(Proverbs 25:2)
