Nielsen released some early figures measuring watching time (in minutes) for both Obi Wan Kenobi and Stranger Things 4. On the surface they appear pretty competitive AND THEY MIGHT BE.

HOWEVER... Things may not always be as they seem and we dive into some of the issues when comparing this data side by side. Many folks have rewatched Obi Wan Kenobi multiple times, largely due to its comparably short run time ( 90 - 100 mins ) as opposed to Stranger Things 4 ( 560mins runtime).

Most viewers did not even finish the entire Stranger Things 7 episode drop this weekend, whereas nearly everyone did with Obi Wan Kenobi. As Nielsen only tracks total minutes watched and not (so far as we know) individual or UNIQUE viewers, it throws a fog over the comparability.
