A rogue's diary - sneaky flag capping action from the World of Warcraft Player vs Player battlegrounds Arathi Basin and Battle for Gilneas. Utilizing diversions and stealth without even being stealthed - oh, and Smoke Bomb FTW.

Expansion: Mists of Pandaria (2012)

Addons used: X-Perl Unit Frames, EnergyWatch, ExtraBars, Prat, Errorfilter, MoveAnything, + a few more. Mostly Lightweight stuff, I don`t much care for those "UI packs" with 100 different addons. There`s too much continual configuration involved and they are system resource heavy, too.

Ever play Rated Battlegrounds (RBG)? I advice you bring a rogue who knows what he`s doing and give him a "free role". Don`t just let him camp 1 base throughout the game, let him run around and mess up the game for the opponnent, at least for BGs like Arathi Basin, Battle for Gilneas, Eye of the Storm and Deepwind Gorge.

For successful ninja capping, know your opponent`s abilities and their cooldowns. For example - vs a Warrior, you would first sap him and hope he pops Berserker Rage (breaks sap). Then wait out the Diminished Returns on Sap until you can do a full 8 sec Sap again - make sure you resap before Berserker Rage is off CD again - now just start capping - if he trinkets, Just Blind him and start capping again - GG, successful ninja cap!

I suppose I could write up how to make it work against any class, but I`m sure you can imagine what you need to do.. make Paladins pop Bubble, then trinket, Mages Ice Block then trinket for example.

World of Warcraft has some of the best Player vs Player action out there. Blizzard takes their time with releasing new battlegrounds and arenas, but the results are always great. Good luck, have fun!
