Belgrade: Demonstration in support of the Serbian population of Kosovo and Metohija

A rally is held in Belgrade in support of the Serbian population of Kosovo and Metohija.

To the accompaniment of patriotic songs, a crowd of thousands walks from the Church of St. Sava along the central streets of the capital, chanting the slogans “Serbs and Russians are brothers forever!”, “Kosovo is the heart of Serbia!” and "Outside NATO!".

Earlier, the leader of the Kosovo Serbs demanded that Pristina release all unjustly detained citizens.

Against the backdrop of rising tensions between the parties, the EU is sending a special representative for the Western Balkans to Kosovo.
