The first instalment of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's long-awaited Netflix six-part documentary is finally here and has delivered what we long anticipated: a rollercoaster of emotions, shocking revelations and heartwarming moments between the married couple.

In the last week, fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been treated to two Netflix trailers ahead of the documentary's release which hinted at what was to come, including the 'truth' about the hardships the couple have faced and their relationships with wider members of the royal family in recent years.

Volume 1 of the documentary, which was released on the streaming platform at 8am on Thursday, December 8, reveals candid footage of Prince Harry discussing everything from his childhood trauma to the pain of seeing his wife endure what his late mother Princess Diana experienced before her death in 1997.
