Two Good Deer Winter Browse Plants #short

Two good winter browse plants for deer food and cover are Greenbiar and Blackberry. New growth from the year is, while thorny, very high in nutrients. Thorny plants are usually good food for browsing animals as they needed to grow thorns to keep from being destroyed.
This heavy harvest of oak regenerated to oaks and lots of Smilax and blackberry. It should be burned to set back the growth and refresh it for maximum deer food production.
