Splashdown: NASA's Artemis 1 Orion Capsule Returns To Earth

After 26 days in space and 1.4 million miles of travel, Orion splashed into the Pacific Ocean, Sunday December 11, off the coast of Baja California at 17:40 UTC. Orion successfully launched on top of the first launch of the Space Launch System [SLS] rocket on Nov. 16. The reentry and successful recovery of the spacecraft is the biggest and most important test in this mission.
