Lockerbie bombing suspect in US custody

"A key suspect in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland is in US custody.

That flight killed 270 people, the majority of them Americans.

Officials say the Libyan man, Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-marimi, was charged by the US two years ago for his involvement.

The investigation is ongoing and Scottish prosecutors are continuing to work with the UK government.

The Lockerbie bombing remains the deadliest terrorist attack to have taken place in the UK."
