Hi, friends !
In Chinese medicine the elements correspond with the season and as we are in midwinter ! The element of water belongs to winter, we see this in the rain, frosts and snow. And water corresponds to the meridians in our body, associated with the kidney and bladder. So we will work with energy from around the area of the kidneys but also use the practice to embody the qualities of water. Water always chooses the path of least resistance, this is the time of year to go with the flow. If we look out in nature we don't see the energy that we do in spring or summer. Winter is a time of introspection and being. Not a time to plough through and be forceful. Water also has the quality of creativity I think of winter as a time for reading, knitting, making. So this class is an invitation to listen to your body and mind, listen to what they need and be easy with yourself.
