Every year, our parish undertakes a 20km pilgrimage from Peka Peka beach to the massive statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paraparaumu, which was erected by the local parish on the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady to St Bernadette at Lourdes in 1858.
The Intentions of this year's pilgrimage were:
1. The reign of Christ the King in New Zealand
2. The special protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary over all our faithful, especially for the unborn and elderly.
3. To be protected from communism and all dictators.
4. for the return of all to the Traditional Mass and the Faith of all times.
5. The conversion of sinners and perseverance in our Catholic Faith.
6. The triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in New Zealand.
