The Ava Vidal thread on Twitter regarding Sistah Space

The Ava Vidal thread on Twitter regarding Sistah Space. A few points. (1) I am dyslexic. So mocking my spelling does not bother me. Perhaps it is part of your comedy act to mock people with a disability. (2) Sistah Space is not for black people as the site clearly states people of African and Caribbean heritage (one presumes that means of a background to such places via family history). Thus one must presume excluding those who are black who are not connected to these places. (3) I was born in Zambia so your insult of saying I am racist is rather odd.

Now in the thread she admits to me that she does not know if the charity has turned down anyone of mix race. It seems odd to defend something you have little data about and as such one must presume she is simply presuming a lot.

The question I have for her, would be, would she still defend this charity if it turns out they have turned down the help of a lady because she was mixed race. It would be bizarre to defend such a charity in such a case.

I am not sure if Ava Vidal had been involved with domestic abuse. I say this as she tells us how the police question black ladies and does so suggesting this is something she experienced. This is important as if she is simply guessing then she should not be using this as her argument as it is hearsay. But if she did experience what she says, then things may have changed as I sat with my friend when she was dealing with the police and the police did not ask the questions that Ava Vidal informs us are asked.

Some of her points are not valid. As she claims people who are from a slave background stay silent or something. Of course people from an African background are unlikely to have been slaves. Of course they may have been involved in selling slaves (but best not mention that fact).

One thing seems odd. Is that those running this charity apparently are taking a break. This seems odd. I know if I was running an animal charity then nothing would stop me. But perhaps the people running this charity have less passion than me.
