Have you ever wanted to do more than just create a generic fantasy forest, otherworldly western European setting, or stereotypical elven arboreal society? One way to help differentiate your setting is by introducing culture to it, and holidays are great encapsulations of so many aspect's of a region's culture.

In this workshop we will continue the detailing process from the prior one, but with a side discussion about "coming up for air" in the creative process. While we worked to understand why we have the holidays we do, and how we celebrate/observe/memorialize them (both with humor and seriousness), a point was brought up in chat about crossing over fantasy with reality. Hopefully you enjoy the conversation and thoughtfulness!

Never be afraid to think, create, and flex your power as a storyteller to craft worlds and societies. But, with that power, there is a responsibility. Don't be afraid to "come up for air" every once in a while during your process before going back to it.

In this workshop series, we will go over how you can create your own unique holidays and go on to use them to inspire adventures at your table that are steeped in the originality you made for your players.
