Low Calorie, less flour and great tasting oatmeal chocolate chip cookies made with date sugar! Date sugar is amazing and you absolutely need to start baking with it! In this video I will share our recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies using date flour. If you wanted you could also use this video to make oatmeal cookies or oatmeal raisin cookies. Just substitute the chocolate chips for raisins or leave out the chocolate altogether. This is a simple cookie recipe that is healthier because it uses less flour and less sugar and still tastes great!

This is a healthy cookie recipe.

This recipe is special because it uses the sugar substitute date sugar instead of white sugar. Date sugar is simply dehydrated dates (the fruit) that is crushed to make a powder. It is amazing and delicious.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

½ cups of all purpose flour
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
⅛ tsp salt
6 tbsp unsalted butter
4.5 ounces of date sugar
¾ tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
5.75 ounces of chocolate chips
⅓ cups of oats

In a small bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine the butter, date sugar, vanilla, egg and milk.

While mixing with a hand mixer combine the flour mixture with the butter/sugar mixture followed by the chocolate chips and oats.

Using a table spoon place the dough on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Using a spatula press down slightly on each dough ball. Bake at 350 °F for 10 to 12 minutes until the cookies are brown. Transfer the hot cookies to a cooling rack and allow to cool before enjoying.

Serve with coffee!
