Buenos Aires cuisine by Latin America's top chefs
Buenos Aires cuisine is synonymous with diversity. Heavily influenced by Spanish and Italian immigration, the plate of the porteño – the local name for Buenos Aires residents – has evolved over the years with Argentine twists on European classics and contributions from Asia, the Middle East and the rest of Latin America. Despite its location at one extreme of the Earth, the city attracts visitors from all over the world, in part because of its rich gastronomic heritage.
In this video, nine top chefs and restaurateurs from the Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants family tell us why Buenos Aires cuisine is so fantastic.
Featuring:
Juan Gaffuri - Elena
Dante Liporace - Tarquino
Emilio Garip - Oviedo
Soledad Nardelli - former head chef at Chila
Fernando Rivarola - El Baqueano
Gaston Rivera - La Cabrera
Martin Molteni - Pura Tierra
Fernando Trocca - Sucre
German Martitegui - Tegui
