On this week's Friday Night Appointment with Fear show, we'll be looking at a hugely underrated, yet well-regarded, US/Canadian co-production: Tibor Takacs' 'The Gate' from 1987. With effects that still hold up, this mostly family-friendly horror sees Stephen Dorff a mere 11 years before he grew up to be the villain in 'Blade'. This is an amazing film that has its fair share of shock moments and some genuine chills.
