Friday Night Frenzy | Depp v. Heard Appeal (Chew Dismantles Amici) & Bankman-Fried Class Action Suit

After a week off I'm thankfully back to firing on all cylinders, and it's a good thing because we have a lot to cover. Spoiler Alert - this is going to be a fun one...

On the docket:

Depp v. Heard - I feel like the last time I spoke with ya'll, we were reviewing the amicus briefs themselves. Well, how about this for timing? Ben Chew filed an omnibus ("for all" / addressing 2-or-more things) opposition to the motions by the Amici for those briefs to be considered, which is filled with the amount of snark we've come to expect. What's worse - the Amici filed a supplement to their briefs, essentially compounding their original mistake and admitting failings in their brief. This should be an interesting read!

Jessup v. Sam Bankman-Fried, et al. - I'm sure we'll chat about SBF's monumental week of social media and interview tomfoolery (especially after he actually hired an attorney to insulate against such recklessness), oh - and of course congress doing the chest-thumping we've come to expect from our elected politicians, BUT I DIGRESS. On Monday, Jay Edelson (yep, the same Jay Edelson from the Girardi coverage) filed a class action lawsuit against SBF, Caroline Ellison, Nishad Singh, Gary Wang, and Sam Trabucco (inner circle at FTX and Alameda Research), and it's definitely worth discussing!

I'm sure I'll get sidetracked talking about Coffeezilla catching SBF in an admission of fraud, local Virginia school board gaslighting, Kevin O'Leary (Shark Tank) making a complete fool of himself, and who knows what else...so, yea, this'll be a fun one!
