Greater Roadrunner bird running in for Fast Food

It's been a cold and long winter here in Arizona and many smaller animals and insects haven't come out as yet. Many of the birds are desperate for hand outs as you see even this Greater Roadrunner competes with pigeons, black birds and sparrows for handouts at a local Wendy's Restaurant here in Kingman AZ. Here you see it eating bread that we're tossing to it and other birds. Most people think of The Roadrunner from the looney tunes cartoon with Wile E. Coyote. Anyway, they don't go 'Beep Beep', but now you know they might like eating out at a restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Road runner birds are fast runners and fast eaters. Scientific name Geococcyx californianus.
