Santa Rosa County (Florida) DELAYS VOTE on SEWER Plant After Heavy PUSHBACK!

Santa Rosa County, Florida Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) delayed a key vote Thursday 12/8/22 that would have allowed the county to convey approximately 100 acres to the city of Milton for their effluent disposal, after receiving heavy pushback--primarily from citizens.

One of the factors driving the delay was the fact that the city of Milton has new board members coming in after the new year, and it is believed that some are opposed to the location of the proposed water treatment facility.

The decision has been delayed until Monday, January 9th at the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners' committee meeting.
