Bald Eagle: Easy Pickin's, Sony A1/Sony Alpha 1, 4k

The salmon spawn has recently ended at Coeur d'Alene Lake, and there are lots of dead or very lethargic fish on the surface. They make easy pickin's for the Bald Eagles, which is the reason the eagles chose to visit the lake on their migration south. It also attracts thousands of gulls during this time of year.

In this tightly-cropped frame animation, you can see a fish lying on the surface before the Bald Eagle get there. I slow down the animation at this point so you can see more clearly.
