Mission-Driven Skirmish Wargames with NUTS! WW2

NUTS! is a "Mission-Driven" set of WW2 skirmish rules from Two Hour Wargames.

A Mission-Driven game focuses more on achieving in-game objectives than earning victory points to win and uses historical Platoon and Squad TOEs to create your force rather than buying them with points.

Your Missions could be anything from a Patrol mission to scout a certain area by the end of the game, or a difficult "Hold at all Costs" Defense mission where you "win" by controlling a certain terrain piece or area of the table...so even if you lose most of your figures, you still win if you stop your opponent from achieving their objective. This means you could also have a greater range of Missions -- like rescuing a downed pilot, doing a raid to capture a prisoner, or speak with the locals to gain intel.

Do that successfully, enough times and you can win your Campaign!

NUTS! is designed for Solo and Co-op games (and of course, head-to-head), and puts you in the boots of a Squad Leader or a Platoon Leader who needs to guide his troops through a set of dynamically generated, linked Missions that form a Campaign. You can also increase your core unit's skills and morale, and gain special equipment and battlefield loot.

The NUTS! Mission generator and Campaign system can be applied to any tabletop skirmish system.

At the heart of NUTS! is a unique "reaction" (Chain Reaction ©) system that makes combat more dynamic and unpredictable, and your figures are never caught flatfooted waiting for their card or activation die to come up before reacting to something.

It also has a Lite RPG element that lets you game side encounters with civilians, go carousing on R&R, or scrounge up support for your next mission.
