Labour have now lost credibility when it comes to hate speech

Labour have now lost credibility when it comes to hate speech. I thought I would post about this considering last week a Labour mp went on the news telling us how he wanted speech to be governed by the state even if it was legal. One must remember Labour MP Lucy Powell who wore her hate T-shirt. The fact this was seen by those on the left as a joke must worry a decent person. Indeed how can Labour now tell others off for what one says or thinks if they do this themselves. If Labour mps can do this then why can the next person not wear a T-shirt saying they hate someone because if a religion or sexuality or ethnic group and also claim it is a joke. Of course the rules seem to be if someone on the left says something then it is fine. Her T-shirt could be seen as a way to dehumanise a group. One must never forget that the German socialists of the 1930’s also used dehumanising techniques. The one thing one must never do is allow Labour or indeed any party the power to govern your opinions. No one should have the power to say your opinions are correct or not. Any country that has any laws of any sort governing your thoughts is not a free country regardless of the excuses they will use to justify such powers. Indeed only a few days ago one lady was asked by the police to be interviewed about the fact she had given a view and someone claimed to be offended in the UK. Indeed a few months ago a chap was threatened by UK police to be taken to some sort of reeducation camp because he did a retweet and as such the state apparently needed to re-educate him. This is not some 1970’s horror sci-fi but reality in 2022.
