The Mark of Kri (PS2) Gameplay (Hyperkin HDTV Cable for PS2/ PS1)

I love the Mark of Kri. I bought this game brand new not too long after it hit, and I have loved it ever since. I figured that since I haven't uploaded a video of this game since 2008, I would play some more footage with my modern setup. Every time I boot this game up, I remember why I loved it, and still love it. Great game. One of my favorite PS2 games, and it's unique to say the least. Outside of Rise of the Kasai, there's nothing that plays quite like it. A unique game with it's onw unique art style, and gameplay style as well.

I decided to switch things up here. Instead of using the RetroTink 2X Pro, I went back to the Hyperkin cable to capture this gameplay. It does have a softening filter, but I think a lot pf PS2 games look better softer. At least in my opinion. Honestly, if you're just looking for upscaling PS2/PS1 games, and don't care about other retro consoles, this $30-$40 cable is a much better buy than the $140 I paid for the RetroTink. It may not make 2D games look as crisp, and the reds are a little off, but it's way cheaper, and still displays the PS2 fantastically at 720p.
