Su-35 is a supermaneuverable twin-engine single-seat aircraft created by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and manufactured by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant. In the 1980s, the aircraft industry of the Soviet Union decided to upgrade the Su-27 with enhanced avionics, engines, and aerodynamic equipment. The newly designed fighter jet would then be dubbed as the “Su-27M”, though the project faced temporary halt as a result of financial impediment in the aftermath of Soviet dissolution and completely terminated in 1995, leaving only three serial models produced.
