We chat with Cory about how he ended up being accepted to TFA. He'll be moving to Memphis soon to start his two years. He'll be teaching middle school mathematics.

SHOULD YOU BECOME A TEACHER?

If you're considering a career in teaching, you're not alone. Teaching is a popular and rewarding profession. Not only do teachers help shape the minds of young people, they also get to be a part of the lives of their students.

But teaching isn't for everyone. It takes a special type of person who is willing to work hard and put in extra effort. Before deciding if a career in teaching is right for you, there are a few things you need to consider.

First, consider your personality and strengths. Are you an organized person who is patient and good at communicating? Do you have a passion for a particular subject or age group? Teaching requires an individual with these qualities.

Second, think about the financial rewards. Teaching is not a high-paying job and many teachers have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. You need to decide if the financial rewards are enough to make it worth your time and effort.
