Malaysia Mooncake festival

The Mid-Autumn festival falls on a full moon during the eighth month of the Chinese calendar. It’s being celebrated by Chinese communities around the world today/Monday including in Malaysia, where it’s more commonly known as the Mooncake or sometimes Lantern Festival. Originally a thanksgiving festival for the harvest, it’s character has changed over the years, and across countries -- taking on some local flabour, as Rian Maelzer reports from Kuala Lumpur.
