The night before his fortieth birthday, Nick thought it was going to be the best day of his life. That is, until he woke up and found himself in the middle of a kingdom with a group of strangers and no way home.

Nick's friends had all gone on a trip together with their kids to celebrate their mutual birthdays.... but then they wake up in this bizarre new world.

Along with Nick, there are his two friends: Stan and Lisa. Stan is an intense attorney who doesn't like to talk about his personal life because he's holed up in the courtroom all day, while Lisa is a tough-as-nails hairdresser who always knows exactly what to do when things get tough.
