Foggy plane Landing from Bristol to Gibraltar. At this point I was high enough up on Gibraltar that I was actually in the cloud.

See this landing from below from @MikeySeedot https://youtu.be/xaGIZK-bgtA Really great footage he caught from the ground. As you can see the cloud I'm in at the top didn't give me any visibility of the runway, but he was able to get a great shot. He also has some pretty sweet videos from inside the plane during landings at Gibraltar!

See this time lapse video to see what that cloud looked like: https://youtu.be/D3dEUSBBZBY

I turned around and there were four young monkeys jumping behind me. See this video here of them playing: https://youtu.be/Ko67hYvuc_U

So I headed back down The Rock a bit to catch G-UZLL after it had landed and was taxiing to the terminal. Here is the full article of the flights from that day: https://www.thespaingibraltarchannel.com/post/gibraltar-airport-report-cloudy-sunday-creates-a-bit-of-trouble-for-landings-4-december-2022

Get closer to the Tarmac than any other airport at Gibraltar International Airport, you can walk across it! I don't know of any other major international airport in the world where you can do this! Up close 4K plane spotting at one of the most DANGEROUS and EXTREME airports int he world! Subscribe for more!

I love how these planes land on a tarmac that is surrounded on all sides by water. This is a must watch to see how close to the water these planes land and take off. There are very few airports in the world like this, that could support commercial airline jets to land and take off under such extreme conditions.

Gibraltar is one of the most dangerous airports in the world because the runway is short, it is surrounded by water on both ends of the tarmac, an international highway bisects the tarmac with cars, bikes and people on foot crossing. The weather caused by the Strait of Gibraltar can lead to brutal crosswinds. The pilots who land here have to be very qualified. Flights to Gibraltar are currently only from the United Kingdom because Gibraltar International Airport is technically a military airport not a civilian one.
